Just a quick note to thank you and we had good time at your lodge, especially my daughters love the rooms. They love up and down stairs, also they were so enjoyed internal spa bath everyday. (the bath was so nice in winter Also, we were impressed your daily room service, the room was always clean after we came back from outside in the late afternoon.
Alister and Charlene know well about local activities and kindlygiven us a lot of information.
We hope to come back to Taupo and stay your lodge in summer time.

I was tired while driving from Auckland to Napier, and decided just to find somewhere in Taupo to stay for the night. Wandering on the main road alongside the lake, I saw Cascades Lakeside Motor Lodge and decided to stop there.
From the moment I walked in, it had that homey feeling. The people that run the place are friendly and accommodating, and you just feel at ease right away.
My room was located just a few doors up from the lake (room number 4), with a view from my terrace. The room was English mews style. There was a queen size bed, ensuite with spa bath, cupboard which opened out into a little kitchenette, small table with chair, and doors opening out onto a gorgous little terrace with outdoor furniture. Upstairs there is a small mezzanine floor with single bed and small bathroom presumably to put up a child (or extra adult).
Breakfast was option, a newspaper was dropped outside my door early in the morning, and breakfast was on time and as expected.
I would reccommend it - pretty good value in terms of price for being right on the lake, and close to everything, and dealing with such nice friendly people.

We really enjoyed our studio here. The host was extremely welcoming and the towels, bed linen, kitchenette supplies were first rate. We were on second storey, but only short walk up stairs from car. Room shape was unusual built to take advantage of the lake view. There was a spa in standard bath, and separate shower in bathroom. We self-catered one night, as its a good walk into the restaurants in Taupo. Everything we required was there.

Customer service 10/10, price 10/10, meals 10/10. I will encourage my staff and other business networks to come to "Cascades". For our team this place was excellent. Customer service was second to none. The facilities were absolutely excellent and for our team planning needs the refreshments, breakfasts, room and meeting resources were bang on. We have no hesitation in recommending this motel to all our networks. Once again thank you very much.
